AQUAEXCEL3.0 recently convened its Annual Meeting in the captivating city of Turin, Italy. This productive gathering spanned three days, packed with insightful discussions and collaborative opportunities.

Day one was dedicated to focused working group sessions, where teams delved into the progress of each work package. On the second day, the consortium took a step back to assess overall project advancements. The day also featured stimulating discussions on potential collaborations, ethical considerations, effective communication strategies, and dissemination plans. A highlight of the meeting was an interactive workshop on the virtual lab, showcasing its potential to revolutionize aquaculture research.

The meeting finished with a visit to the  Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA) at the University of Turin. Here, project partners engaged in fruitful discussions with the DISAFA team, exploring their innovative contributions to the dynamic field of aquaculture. DISAFA, renowned for its research excellence, is committed to delivering knowledge-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture and food production. With a strong focus on animal husbandry, nutrition, and product quality, DISAFA’s expertise in fish nutrition, particularly in the utilization of alternative protein and lipid sources, aligns seamlessly with AQUAEXCEL3.0’s objectives.
